2008 Means Focus on Family Fitness

If you haven’t decided on a New Year’s resolution, let me give you a hint: your families’ health and well-being.  The saying, “a family that plays together, stays together,” could not be truer of 2008.

A primary health focus for 2008 is on long-term weight loss. A balanced healthy diet, drinking lots of water and exercise is the recipe for helping your family stay on track. Another helpful approach is to participate in community run and walk events, buy more organic foods and support causes that allow you and your family to get out and about.

DFW Family Hope Seeking Host Families for Spring 2008 Orphan Camp:

The non-profit group Family Hope, in conjunction with International Family Services adoption agency, is seeking host families for a group of orphans coming to the Frisco area March 21-31, 2008 for spring camp. The purpose of camp is to provide Ukrainian orphan children ages 8-13 an experience of a lifetime in a fun and educational environment. The camp provides these children with a whole new outlook on the world and enables them to dream of possibilities. Our camp allows the children to live in a family environment, if even for a short time. One of the best outcomes of our camp is that these children are exposed to American families, increasing their chance, as well as all older orphans' chances, of being adopted once the families see how wonderful the kids really are!

We are now accepting applications for host families. We will be accepting up to 10 families for this camp, on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact Stacy Zonis at zonisfamily@tx.rr.com asap for more information.
